Over the years, Kendra Wilkinson has shared the ups and downs and uncertainty of her relationship with ex-husband Hank Baskett, but one thing she's always been clear about is her love for her children.
"I couldn't have asked for better kids," the television personality said in a 2021 episode of Max series Kendra Sells Hollywood. "If there's one part of my life I'm doing right, it's them." She and Baskett — who tied the knot at the Playboy Mansion in June 2009 — welcomed son Hank Randall Baskett IV on December 11, 2009.
They welcomed daughter Alijah Mary Baskett on May 16, 2014, and the occasion was documented in a 2014 episode of her reality series, Kendra On Top. What was supposed to be a happy time, however, was marred with Baskett's infidelity scandal — which played out in front of cameras. Wilkinson famously threw her wedding ring in the toilet at the time.
Despite initially taking him back, sources told Us Weekly at the time that the Girls Next Door alum was "deeply unhappy" and only staying with the former NFL player "for the kids." Wilkinson took to Instagram in April 2018 to confirm she and Baskett were over.
"Today is the last day of my marriage to this beautiful man. I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways," she wrote. "U will prob see us together a lot but it's because there's no hate. Love wins in this case it's just looks a little funny. Thank you Hank for a beautiful 8 years of marriage and 2 beautiful kids. I feel so thankful and blessed." The two agreed to split custody of their children.
Following her split, the former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner has spoken about becoming a single mom, and trying to distance herself from the sexualization she faced due to her time with the Playboy founder, prior to her marriage to Baskett.
She has pivoted to a career in real estate, which is mostly what the star documents on her social media. However, sporadically she will share images of her two kids, and has told People, "What makes me happy? It's my kids.
Beach boy (March 2021)
Wilkinson shared a rare snap of her son Hank on the beach in a black and white photo from March 2021. He could be seen posing in a wetsuit and holding onto a bodyboard while looking away from the camera, out at the ocean.
"My beach boy #LilHank," his mother captioned the post.
Sibling bonding (March 2021)
Wilkinson couldn't help but gush about her kids in a photo from March 2021, where Hank could be seen teaching his little sister how to ride a scooter.
"Lil Hank teaching Alijah the ropes 🥺 Have you seen anything cuter?" she captioned the black and white image.
Slices of heaven (April 2021)
Wilkinson memorialized a family meal with a sweet Instagram snap that showed Hank and Alijah enjoying burgers, fries, and milkshakes while sitting in front of a pretty, mountainous backdrop.
"Little slices of heaven 🤍," Kendra wrote, while also giving a shoutout to the restaurant chain. "(yes In-N-Out is included in that statement)."
Sports family (April 2021)
The reality TV personality shared another sweet black and white photo in April 2021. This one showed Hank giving Alijah a piggyback ride after a soccer game or practice.
Alijah shows off a smile as she holds onto her big brother in the image simply captioned, "Soccer days."
Mother's day (May 2021)
The Kendra On Top alum celebrated Mother's Day in 2021 by sharing a picture of her two children enjoying some sushi. She simply captioned the sweet post, "I'm such a lucky mama. Happy Mother's Day ♥️."
Growing up (May 2021)
Speaking of special days, Wilkinson shared an adorable carousel of photos in 2021 to celebrate her daughter Alijah's 7th birthday. The little girl could be seen blowing out her birthday candles, posing with a balloon and unicorn piñata (while sporting unicorn ears!), and of course, cuddling up to her mom, and big brother.
"Happy 7th birthday to my beautiful, smart, loving daughter Alijah. BFFs since day 1 💕," Wilkinson captioned the sweet post.
The following year, Wilkinson kept her shoutout short and sweet with a picture of Alijah walking away from the camera through arches covered in twinkly lights. "Happy birthday to my girl, Alijah 🧡 Mama loves watching you grow and evolve," she wrote.
Just like her mama (September 2021)
It seems Wilkinson's daughter Alijah has also found a love for makeup and styling. The then-7-year-old could be seen working as her fashionable mom's makeup artist in a sweet black and white photo captioned, "My makeup artist on most days 🤍."
A close bond (November 2021)
The single mom seems to share quite the bond with daughter Alijah. She posted a sweet pair of pictures with her mini-me on November 7, 2021, captioning it, "She keeps me going 🤍." The mother-daughter duo appear to be wearing coordinating outfits as they cuddle each other on a pretty fall day.
The following month, Wilkinson shared another image from this photo shoot, this time in black and white. She could be seen smiling with her eyes closed while holding her little girl close to her in the image she captioned, "Close to my heart forever ♥️."
Wilkinson later threw back to this photo shoot with a post in March 2022 that showed the two of them laughing while laying in the grass. "Moments of joy with my mini 🧡 #tb," she wrote.
Disney date (October 2023)
Wilkinson posted a carousel of photos from one of her and daughter Alijah's Disneyland dates on October 29, 2023. The two could be seen riding the carousel, posing in front of the Halloween decor and the castle, as well as enjoying themed snacks, like Mickey Mouse ice cream sandwiches.
The Kendra Sells Hollywood star shared another cute Disney date on February 13, 2022.
Proud mom (April 2024)
The mom-of-two doesn't post her son Hank on Instagram as much, but she did take to social media to celebrate him on April 24, 2024 for getting into Oaks Christian School.
"Congratulations @hank_baskett12 I love you so much and watched you work hard to get to where you are. I'm so proud of you my boy. Keep going!!!" Wilkinson captioned the image, which showed her son proudly holding up a certificate from the school's Office of Admissions.
Birthday girl (June 2024)
Wilkinson celebrated her 39th birthday with two of her favorite people, Hank and Alijah. "Here comes 39... 🎂, " she captioned some photos from a celebratory meal the trio shared at Nobu in Malibu, California.
Photo dump (June 2024)
Later that month, Wilkinson gave fans a rare glimpse at her family life in a photo dump she shared to Instagram. In the second image in the carousel, the Kendra alum could be seen cheesing it up at a restaurant with Alijah, Hank, and a family friend.
She also shared a pool selfie with Alijah, and a graduation photo with Hank.
Self-care (September 2024)
Most recently, Wilkinson shared a cute picture of her and daughter Alijah seemingly enjoying some self-care. They both sport what looks like terry cloth headbands pushing their hair back out of their faces as Kendra sports a smile with pouty lips, while Alijah playfully sticks her tongue out.
"We hope you have a good week. ♥️," Wilkinson captioned the photo.
